The “temperature coefficient” describes the percentage of power output that is lost by a specific solar panel as the temperature rises above 77°F. It specifies just how heating affects the module power, and provides a number showing how much the module power is reduced if the ambient temperature is increased by one degree Celsius. The lower the temperature coefficient, the better.
Temperature Tolerance
The ranges in “temperature tolerance” indicates expected operating temperature of the PV module. In order words, modules are capable of continuous operation at their rated power with a temperature rise within the specified insulation temperature.
